We have a dilemma whether we should ask such authorities to reconstruct the Sava embankment, which is all drilled and tilted due to illegal driving?
The government continues to confidently “build”. At full speed, according to special accelerated procedures, the EXPO should also be built. This exhibition space should be visited by people from over 100 countries, according to the authorities. Have the ambassadors of those countries informed their representatives in the BIE that construction in Serbia is unsafe and that the construction procedures have been additionally accelerated for the EXPO? Have they informed their banks that provide loans to Serbia that the government plans to spend 17 billion euros that it does not have on projects “related to the EXPO” without public procurement? Did they inform the authorities that the EXPO facilities are being planned on 800ha without regular construction and financial procedures, while the BIE accepted the plan of 25ha for EXPO 2027?Have they informed them that the investment of 17 billion euros is being built next to the Sava embankment that was drilled and ruined due to illegal driving of motor vehicles?

After Novi Sad, problems with the Belgrade Railway Station
“The new plot with Prokop starts with the initiation of the procedure for obtaining location conditions for the repair of cracks in the platform beams. In fact, it begins several months before that, when the footage of the cracks at the station appeared. At first, one might have suspected that they were not authentic and that they were not from that location, because it is illogical that no one reacts to such cracks. As a society, we have somehow taken leaks as a natural environment.
But let’s get back to the location conditions for Prokop. It says there that the conclusion was reached that significantly less reinforcement was installed than was designed. I have spoken to several people, more or less involved in this project. No one (and again, no one) can believe that less reinforcement was installed than necessary. They do not believe that this could have happened to Energoprojekt. What the static calculation of the CIP from 2015 revealed is that reinforcement was installed in at least five thicknesses. How this should really be interpreted, we leave to the experts. And how did this explanation about less reinforcement come about in the first place?
If we understand the investor’s explanation correctly, a study was commissioned in 2020 by the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade. It was announced that this document confirmed that the construction was of high quality and without any defects that could affect stability. If we look at what the study should contain, it is precisely a presentation of the quality of the installed concrete and reinforcement. If everything was OK then, how can we conclude after five years that the reinforcement is not suitable? Or did one of the “10 reasons” arise. We can only hope that we will get answers to the numerous questions that are open and do not yet have an answer.”

DISASTER at the Clinical Center Kragujevac: Water was pouring down the hallway (VIDEO)
The University Clinical Center in Kragujevac confirmed that a breakdown occurred in the urology department last night, when a water pipe hidden by a suspended ceiling burst, causing water to flow down the department’s hallway.
The Clinical Center told N1 that a hot water pipe burst on the night of May 23.
– On-call technicians were contacted, the malfunction was repaired within 30 minutes of being reported, the hot water system was restored to working order, and the area was cleaned and disinfected, so that the Urology Clinic is operating without problems and at full capacity – the Clinical Center stated.
They added that the breakdown had no consequences for patients and employees, of whom there were about 15 according to unofficial information.
The Clinical Center, however, did not comment on claims that appeared on social media, according to which the Urology Clinic was reconstructed two years ago.

CHAOS in Pančevo: Ceiling collapses in supermarket (VIDEO)
At around 1:40 p.m., a ceiling collapsed in the “Mere” supermarket on Novoseljanski put in Pančevo.

New incident on Serbian railways: 6 wagons filled with phosphoric acid derail near Zaječar
Between Brusnik and Rgotina, near Zaječar, at 01:45 last night, six tank wagons loaded with phosphoric acid derailed.
“During this emergency, there was no leakage or fumes and there is no danger to human life or the environment. The second, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth tank wagons derailed with one axle each, while the first one overturned on its side from the locomotive,” the “Srbija Kargo” statement states.
The freight train consisted of 12 tank wagons, owned by the Eliksir company, and was traveling from Prahovo to Šabac.

Ceiling collapsed at KBC Bežanijska kosa over the weekend, nurse slightly injured

“Smooth on the outside, rough on the inside”: Cracked pedestrian walkway above the Moravian Corridor, announced as the first digital highway
The villagers of Vrnjci near Vrnjačka Banja are stuck between the highway and the toll plaza, with a footbridge that leads nowhere. Not only do they have to cross a field to get to it, but now even crossing it is questionable.
“Towards the end of winter, the footbridge itself cracked. People came, I think from the Corridor of Serbia, they filmed it and said that it was most likely due to the subsidence of the soil. But you can see it with the naked eye, and I think the camera recorded the crack,” says Milosav Pecić from the village of Vrnjci.
So, you first noticed the crack at the very top of the footbridge?
“And across the entire width of the footbridge,” said this villager.
Announced as the first digital highway, the section of the highway from Kruševac to Vrnjačka Banja was opened by the President of Serbia himself at the end of December. But, one might say, “smooth on the outside, but rough on the inside.”
“You buy a frying pan in a store and get a five-year warranty. Let alone a building like this, which is probably quite expensive,” explains Pecić.
Due to the way it was built, the footbridge, according to the testimony of locals, is not accessible to people with disabilities, the elderly and children.
“The access slope of the footbridge is about 25 degrees. It is five times higher than the prescribed one. I don’t know who can issue a permit for the use of this footbridge,” says local resident Zoran Borisavljević.
The question also arises as to its significance. Because there have been no pedestrians in the village for a long time, and those who would decide on such an undertaking would have to be in top shape.
In the search for an answer as to whose jurisdiction this footbridge is, the Roads of Serbia say that it is not under their jurisdiction. They say something similar in Vrnjačka Banja. However, there has been no response from Corridors of Serbia, which are also the investors in the construction of this highway. Therefore, it is assumed that the footbridge is under their jurisdiction.

First rain: An embankment collapsed, the asphalt of an expensive road cracked
After several days of light rain, part of the earthen embankment on the newly opened bridge near Golubac collapsed and fell into the Pek River.
Part of the bridge is closed to traffic, secured by the police, and construction crews are carrying out repair work.
The bridge in question is on the road from Veliko Gradište to Golubac, on the section of the Danube Highway, which was officially opened just five weeks ago, on February 23rd of this year.
The asphalt on the same road recently cracked, the Freedom and Justice Party (X) announced on the social network X.
As Miloš Ivanović from the Veliko Gradište SSP explained, the asphalt on this road is three centimeters thick, and 526 million euros were paid for 68 kilometers of this road.
The work on the construction of the bridge was not completed, and the soil used for the embankment was not sufficiently compacted, experts warn for Insajder.
“That slope was not adequately secured, but not only was it not adequately secured, but it is clear from the pictures we saw that the material was inadequately compacted. If it had been better compacted, it would not have washed away like this. I must emphasize that the rains that have been falling these days have been extremely small, somewhere around thirty millimeters per square meter, which is extremely small rain, it is not serious rain. The question arises as to what would have happened if there had been much more rain,” hydrogeologist Vladislav Marinković tells Insider.
Bridge opened before construction was completed?
The structure of the embankment also indicates that the bridge was opened to traffic before its construction was fully completed, Jovan Despotović, retired professor of hydrology and hydraulic engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, tells Insider.
“This slipway, the embankment in the approach road to the bridge, is not covered with stone or concrete, but rather soil that is inconsistent has been left. The fact that I said it was not completed means that this embankment is at risk of high waters, such as those encountered by the Pek River. It must be protected from the Pek River with a more stable surface layer and it protects this soil that we see now. That soil is not the final layer, it is not the final layer of the structure,” says Professor Despotović for Insider.
The bridge should not have been opened to traffic in such a condition, more rain or greater flooding of the Pek could have led to the tilting of the bridge-road junction.
The commercial contract for the construction of the recently opened section is not publicly available, so it is not known whether, in addition to the investor, contractor and design supervision of the execution of the works, independent, or external supervision was also engaged, or which company performed it. In all phases of construction, supervision was required to notice all failures.
The bridge is located on the 68-kilometer Požarevac – Veliko Gradište – Golubac section. The section was officially opened on February 23 in the presence of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
The project for the construction permit for the bridge was prepared by AG Institute. The state is the financier, and “Corridors of Serbia” is the investor of the project. The main contractor is the Serbian branch of the Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed Group.

A piece of ceiling at the Kragujevac Primary School fell on a patient

A piece of ceiling at the UKC Kragujevac fell on a patient
As reported on the Facebook page Events in our city, in front of the Konzilijum 1 clinic, in the Oncology department, part of the ceiling fell off and fell on a patient who was sitting on a chair.

At Christmas, the facade of the new building of the health center, which is awaiting the ceremonial opening, fell
In the village of Ljubić near Čačak, on a new building intended for a health station of the Health Center, the facade of the canopy fell off on Christmas Day, or rather the part above the terrace, as reported by shocked citizens, and the video is spreading on social networks.
The construction of this building began in September 2022, and the original deadline for completion of the works was February 2024, while the opening was announced for May. However, the building is clearly still not finished, nor ready to receive staff and patients.
Large parts of the facade have fallen off the building, which could cause serious injuries if someone were passing by the building at the time of the collapse.
The building in Ljubić should have been completed a long time ago, but as it says, due to lack of money and unpaid work, the contractor company withdrew its workers. In the meantime, there has been serious damage to the building itself. The building, they write, has been robbed several times, cables and internal equipment have been removed, causing damage worth millions.

The hospital is leaking, the rooms are full of mold: Where did the millions spent on the renovation of the hospital in Pančevo end up?
The Pančevo hospital, which should be the pillar of healthcare for 300,000 citizens of South Banat, has become a symbol of negligence, incompetence and criminality of those who run it, said Bojan Jankulović, a deputy of the Party of Freedom and Justice in the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
Jankulović recalled that in 2018, a complete renovation of this health institution was announced, with an investment of 550 million dinars, and that today the result of that “project” is a leaky hospital, rooms full of mold and conditions that endanger the health of patients and medical staff. He stressed that the Pančevo hospital urgently needs an inspection, because “these are not the conditions for treating anyone, let alone children.”
“Where did those millions end up? Were they invested in renovations or in private pockets? The director of the Pancevo hospital and SNS official Slobodan Ovuka is known for pulling doctors off duty to go to Aleksandar Vučić’s rally, where the SNS then closed everything with fences so that they could not escape from the rally. A 330 million euro highway overpass has collapsed
At least one person was injured due to the collapse of an overpass under construction for the Požarevac-Veliko Gradište-Golubac expressway. The accident occurred on Saturday, December 28, at around 7:30 p.m.
The local media outlet eBranicevo reported the incident on Monday, and the Ministry of Interior confirmed the accident to Insider.
The Ministry of Interior states that the case has been taken over by the competent Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Veliko Gradište.
The Danube Corridor, or the Požarevac-Veliko Gradište-Golubac expressway, 68 kilometers long, will be completed by the end of 2025, announced Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in July 2023.
Construction began in November 2021, and more than 330 million euros will be invested in the expressway.
The contractor is the Chinese Shandong High Speed Group, and the subcontractors are from Serbia.

The building of the Main Railway Station in Novi Sad was reconstructed and put into operation in early July.
